Syracuse opens its 2017 slate at SU Soccer Stadium on Aug. 21 against Connecticut.

Syracuse women’s soccer released its 2017 schedule on Wednesday afternoon for 20 contests, including two exhibition games, eight non-conference opponents and ten Atlantic Coast Conference opponents.

Ten of the Orange’s upcoming opponents made the NCAA tournament last season. SU finished last year with a 8-8-3 total record and opens its nonconference schedule this season at Bucknell on Aug. 18. The team’s first home game is at SU Soccer Stadium on Aug. 21 against Connecticut.  SU’s toughest test in the nonconference schedule will come against Florida, which finished last season with a 17-5-1 record.

In the ACC, five of Syracuse’s 10 opponents finished among the top 25 teams in the nation, including four in the top 15 and one in the top five.  The Orange struggled last year in its conference slate, winning only one game on its way to a 1-7-2 record.

SU opens its ACC schedule on Sept. 15 at home against Miami.
